Staff FAQs

J Camps staff work Monday-Friday each week of the summer program. On Mondays and Fridays, staff arrive at 8:00am, whereas Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, staff arrive by 8:30am. We dismiss all general staff by 4:45pm, except for Tuesdays when we run professional development and staff appreciation programming until 5:30pm. Early drop, late stay, and bus counselors schedules will vary appropriately.

Our first year staff members can be 16 and entering 11th grade. From there, we have staff of all ages and backgrounds who work with us during the summer!

All J Camps staff are given three J Camps t-shirts, and are required to wear a camp shirt every day, with some exceptions. Every Wednesday is a themed dress-up day (pajamas, superhero, etc) and Thursdays are Throwback Thursdays. Other than that, we just ask for general appropriate dress, and close-toed shoes are required everywhere except for the pool area.
